five more...
here’s another five good songs.
mewithoutYou – a Glass Can Only Spill What it Contains
(Brother, Sister, 2006)
mewithouYou is a must-love. the first time i heard them i didn’t really like them. but the more i listened the more i fell in love. their music is original and the lyrics are incredible. mewithoutYou is one of my top 3 favorite bands ever... you have to give them a chance.
Iron & Wine – Faded From The Winter
(The Creek Drank the Cradle, 2002)
The Submarines – Vote
(Declare A New State!, 2006)
Mates of State – The Kissaway
(Team Boo, 2004)
husband and wife duo... mates of state are exceedingly talented. definitely a different sound... but way cool.
Cursive – After The Movies
(Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes, 1997)
this is an oldie from cursive... but this album just might be my favorite from them.
i had the opportunity to see Page France (a favorite of mine) with Headlights and The Tallest Building in the World (neither of which i was acquainted with) this past week at The Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. it was an awesome show and i hope to get some songs from those bands up soon. The Tallest Building in the World has a very different sound. i wasn’t sure about it at first but by the time they finish i thought they were pretty cool. and Headlights were awesome too. a bit more traditional indie rock, but excellent none-the-less.
