mewithoutYou – a Glass Can Only Spill What it Contains

mewithouYou is a must-love. the first time i heard them i didn’t really like them. but the more i listened the more i fell in love. their music is original and the lyrics are incredible. mewithoutYou is one of my top 3 favorite bands ever... you have to give them a chance.

i had the opportunity to see Page France (a favorite of mine) with Headlights and The Tallest Building in the World (neither of which i was acquainted with) this past week at The Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. it was an awesome show and i hope to get some songs from those bands up soon. The Tallest Building in the World has a very different sound. i wasn’t sure about it at first but by the time they finish i thought they were pretty cool. and Headlights were awesome too. a bit more traditional indie rock, but excellent none-the-less.

k so i haven’t posted anything in forever... but i’m going to try to again. ever since i started to develop my own taste in music as a teenager i thought it’d be awesome to run a radio station. that’s never going to happen... but all i really wanted to do was pass on the music i love to others to hear.
so i’m just going to try to post 5 songs at least once a week (all songs will be available for 7 days) of whatever catches my attention and put it out there as my small contribution. i can’t promise my music selection will have any rhyme or reason other than i like it... but i will get things out there.
i don’t even know if anyone will see these and listen to them... but i’ll pretend they will anyways. i hope i do better at posting and i hope someone will find something they love.

ben gibbard is only the music genius of the century. if you don’t love him and all his projects yet you need to and don’t all you indie rockers overlook him just because he’s more well known these days...

Pinback – Boo

pinback is really overlooked. even those who know of them don’t give them due credit.
